Coachella Lineup 2011

Yes.

A couple of things:
Most of these bands I'm a fan of, and if I'm not jumping up and down over them (Best  Coast), they fit the festival. Chromeo, The National, Mumford & Sons and Jack's Mannequin would be my Top 4 at the moment, but that's subject to change.
 Aside from festival staples like Kanye West and others like Afrojack and Cee Lo Green, this year Coachella looks like an electronic haze and rock festival. Hip-hop and rap are great at festivals, and I wish the genres were represented more. 
As always, if you're going, take me with you. Otherwise I will watch from afar and envy every last one of you spending three days in the valley without me.  

 

Spotlight: Moogfest 2010

For those of you who have never seen Moogfest on the lineup of festivals in the past, it's because it's never happened before. In the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, artists ranging from Thievery Corporation to Big Boi and MGMT will perform in a three-day festival in honor of Bob Moog, inventor and genius behind the Moog Synthesizer.

The festival is happening the 28th, 29th, and 30th of October. Ideal in comparison to summer fests that destroy the ozone and make you die of heat stroke, right? Check out the lineup and more FAQs about the festival at moogfest.com.

At least they didn't pick the King's song "Use Somebody," am I right? I took a listen to it, and found some new favorites from the likes of Dawes and Bomba Estereo. The word "stereo" is in the name! So if you're working in the fish and biology tutoring industries like me over the summer and can't spare a gold dubloon for the ultrasuperpricy ticket price.
