Owl City - Fireflies

------------"Fireflies" is the soundtrack to NASA space shuttles rocketing out of earth's atmosphere into the next galaxy. If you like to think that our world turns slowly and time is a ghostly afterthought, "Fireflies" is your stargazing techno-tangle. Adam Young's arrangements navigate towards a visual symphony of "keyboard smoothies," and posess a thoughtful, wandering ambiance. Get "Fireflies" from Owl City's album, Ocean Eyes.

The Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be

-----------Ever since first grade, teachers have asked the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Well, Fergy-Ferg and Will.I.Am and the crew who brought you "My Humps" want to tell you all about what they'll be, where they'll be, and everything they want to brag about. Toxic and exceedingly radio-popular, "Imma Be" is a look into the fly futures of the Peas, from partying to writing on blogs. The song features a diconnected breakdown into jarring jazz piano that takes a different turn from the thick techno in the first movement. Get "Imma Be" from the Black Eyed Pea's latest album, The End.

Bloc Party - Your Visits Are Getting Shorter

------------Bloc Party's driving, rythemic techno belongs on every primary-color wearing electro-dance lover's ipod/boom box/8 track. The Brit band has released their latest album Initmacy in digital format in August 2008, then in CD form and on itunes two months later. "Your Visits Are Getting Shorter" is a techno-breakdown of the inevitable breakup, and if this kind of breakup involves a breakdown of strings and strobe lights, then maybe it won't hurt that bad. Get close (perhaps even closer, as the cover suggests) with Bloc Party and their new album, Intimacy.
