Tristan Prettyman - California Girl

---------------But isn't it pretty, the sandy outlaw blues voice that comes from Tristan Prettyman? The blues acoustic singer/songwriter hails from San Diego, and has taken her feet out of the La Jolla sands to step out on tour. Tonight, Myrtle Beach, and tomorrow - in the pure sense of adventure - TBD. California Girl's somber learned-it-the-hard-way mood is worn with checking out of life in the fast lane to save the soul. Prettyman swears off ever falling "for that ol' trick again," an appropriate lead into the mellow and sunny tracks from her 2008 release Hello...x.

My Favorite Highway - Simple Life

---------------According to adorable smirks and charming faces, Boy Bands = Rock Bands. Does this mean we should discount the lads of My Favorite Highway's ability to produce a bop-a-long pop rock jam? Hells no! Like The Format kissed by Rocket Summer vocals, My Favorite Highway is a band of Virginia boys looking for sunny Warped Tour rock to please the screaming girl masses. Get a little taste of My Favorite Highway's Simple Life from their 2008 album, How To Call A Bluff.

New Young Pony Club - Ice Cream

---------------------As the world's top models take their five-inch stilettos stomping down the runway, there's no way they could flaunt their ethereal bods down the catwalk without some chic freak attitude. New Young Pony Club owns this mantra, with their nu-wave U.K. sounds captivating the nonchalaunt rebellion of many top designers. Ice Cream is a dulce of smart electro pop that is quiet yet expressive patterened with monotone vocals from Tahita Bulmer. Smile with your eyes, create your own wind, and get a scoop of Ice Cream from Fantastic Playroom.

Base Trip Records

"Good songs for good people." When you talk about humble beginnings and a seemingly crazy dream, a mantra like this is the ideal way to express what Bast Trip Records wants to play in your stereo.

Base Trip Records was founded inside Conor Loughman's college dorm room at Boston University. The label has several artists signed on, and though Base Trip is the new meat in the music industry, the founders are adament on spreading the word and keeping the music funky fresh.

Base Trip doesn't limit their artists to one genre. Labelmates range from old school hip hop in The Throwbacks to acoustic singer songwriters like Allison Francis. With six acts signed on, the label keeps busy with bookings and are constantly pushing themselves into the limelight.

Any music lover can appreciate what Loughman's vision has done to open doors for up and coming artists. Funded from his own pockets and continually growing in fan base and recognition, Base Trip Records is the label to be heard on and heard of.

Oasis - I'm Outta Time
--------------Tonight's song is a thoughtful meditation and self examination of the heart. Liam Gallagher sings pensively about the past and doubts for the future. I'm Outta Time slowly winds through string instrumentals and provokes a familiar nervous feeling that follows change. The material on Oasis' latest release, Dig Out Your Soul, is summarized in the title's suggestion of vulnerability and artistic release.
