Song of the Day

Sublime - Rivers of Babylon

-------------Though Bradley Nowell left this world in the mid-90's, Sublime lives on through their timeless ska-punk and reggae ryhtems, tribute bands, and over 17 million albums sold. "Rivers of Babylon" hails from the reggae rock steady 40 Oz. to Freedom, Sublime's 1992 release. The feel-good Jesus shout out was originally written by the Melodians, and though the folk acoustic holy resonance may seem odd lined up next to "Date Rape" and "Smoke Two Joints," its just Nowell's way of saying the guy upstairs loves everyone, no matter what we write. Get the holy shakes in you from 40 Oz. to Freedom.
